Welcome to the i2TERN 2007 The i2TERN conference 2007 represents a unique opportunity to present what the Euro-regional Projects have achieved so far and to share their results and outputs as well as take a glance into the future. The seven Euro-regional projects ARTS, CENTRICO, CONNECT, CORVETTE, SERTI, STREETWISE and VIKING are implementing intelligent transport systems and services in Europe. This conference will provide a forum for the projects to present their results, share experiences, stimulate informed debate, develop strategies, and to reinforce European cross border cooperation. Many representatives from Member States, partners involved in the project, members of the European Commission and high-level decision makers will be present - making it the ideal place to present the key achievements of the TEMPO programme as well as to put forward ideas, expectations and goals for the MIP2. The conference comprises opening and closing plenary sessions featuring various stakeholders on the European ITS scene presenting their views on the future including the EASYWAY programme. The conference will have three parallel lines of technical sessions focussing on the benefits and results obtained from ITS tests and deployments and providing the delegates with an updated overview of the state of the art of ITS in Europe. The VIKING partners are hosting this event and while it is not a commercial arrangement, a conference fee of just 285 Euros has been set to balance the conference costs. This fee includes access to all sessions, conference dinner, admission to the ITS Europe Exhibition (which is held at the same venue 18-20 June) and a delegate pack. Furthermore, each of the Euro-regional projects will get one meeting room freely available throughout the conference. Note that if you wish to participate in both i2TERN and ITS in Europe 2007 conferences, a common registration costs less than the sum of individual registrations.
